What is the gender ratio?

The ratio is roughly 5:5 or 6:4.

What is the age range?

We have a wide age range from 20s to 40s.

What are the skill levels of the members?

We have members ranging from those who have only played in physical education classes to those who played in school clubs.

I want to play badminton. How can I participate?

You can join through the participation button in the top right corner. We manage attendance through the BAND app. Please register there. We have a video manual available.

The participation button is not showing, and I'm on the waiting list. Can I still participate?

No, you cannot participate. We intentionally set a limit on the number of participants. We apologize, but please wait on the waiting list.

What are the waiting list criteria?

2 courts: 20 people (22 for Shinjuku), 3 courts: 28 people (30 for Shinjuku), 4 courts: 36 people.

Is it okay if I can't participate every time?

Yes, participation is basically free. You don't need to come every time. Please join when you can.

Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit. Students can participate, but please follow the rules.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, you can bring children. However, please ensure they don't enter the courts while in use and keep an eye on them to prevent them from getting lost.

Can I join late or leave early?

Yes, it's possible. However, the fee will be the same in such cases.

I'm nervous about joining the circle directly. Can I observe?

Yes, you can observe. If you're not playing badminton, it's free. There are spectator seats in the gym where you can watch. We can also give you a brief tour if you come to the gym directly. Please contact us in advance in such cases.

I'm not Japanese. Can I participate?

Yes, you can participate regardless of nationality. However, since the basic communication is in Japanese, we ask that you be able to communicate in Japanese to some extent.

How do I participate on the day?

There are changing rooms in the gym. Please change there and gather in the gym. There will be a reception desk where you can learn about the procedures.

When will the next schedule be posted?

It's posted as soon as we secure the gym, sometimes up to 3 months in advance. However, it may be decided at the last minute. Please check the schedule on BAND for details.

I don't have badminton equipment. Can I still participate?

Yes, you can participate. We can lend you a racket. However, we don't have enough for everyone, so you might need to share. We also provide shuttlecocks.

What should I bring?

1. Sports attire 2. Indoor sports shoes 3. Drinks 4. Towel 5. Badminton racket (if you have one)

Are there vending machines?

Some gyms have them, but not all. We recommend buying drinks at nearby convenience stores beforehand.

Can I rent indoor sports shoes?

Please bring your own shoes. However, at Shinjuku Sports Center only, you can rent shoes for an additional fee.

How much does it cost?

The basic fee is 800 yen. However, if there are 15 or fewer participants, the fee will be 1000 yen.

For cash payments, please bring exact change. We also accept cashless payments like PayPay.

What happens if I don't show up without notice?

Please notify us before the event if you cannot attend.

Even on the day of the event, it's fine if you let us know.

If you cancel without notice on the day, we may cancel your participation for the next month.

What happens if I get injured?

It's basically at your own risk, but we recommend joining the sports group insurance (optional).
